The Graceland Car Collection

The best bit of Graceland was the house, but the car collection, which is located in a purpose-built facility on the other side of Elvis Presley Blvd, was also very special.

Elvis is probably best known for his love of Cadillacs:

Elvis apparently said that "Life is too short to drive boring cars." I wasn't around when he said it, but I agree....sort of. I think it's more a case of "Life is too short to work on boring cars," since I spend a lot more time doing that than I do driving them. What's not up for debate is that absolutely none of the vehicles in this collection could be described as boring.

The two boats were respectively donated to the Boy Scouts of America and given to a member of the Memphis Mafia in the 60's and were later returned to Graceland.

Elvis built a detached racket ball/squash court to the East of the house; construction costs were more than what The King paid for Graceland.
