Replacing the 351W in the '68 Mustang Part 3

I've been away from the shop for the best part of two weeks due to a quick trip out of state and then hosting some longtime friends, followed by being busy as heck as soon as I went back to work. I've also been working on the F250.

To recap, the picture below is what the engine bay looked like right before I left. I need to re-install the rest of the drivetrain, all the parts that mount to the engine block, the radiator, and reconnect all the wiring.

I wanted to get the flywheel resurfaced before I rebuild the rest of the drivetrain, so I took it over to Mostly Mustangs and had them take care of it. This is after resurfacing but before final cleaning:

After painstaking cleaning and installation:

Gave the clutch a good cleaning too:

This is after installing the clutch and bolting up the bell housing and clutch fork:

I still do not have a transmission jack, so a strapped the T5 to a piece of 2" x 10."

Lifting the transmission into place with two floor jacks:

Getting closer....

Transmission installed and bolted up to the bell housing!

Installing the transmission crossmember was quite difficult - I had to force it into place with a mixture of both floor jacks and a crowbar.

Re-connected the backup lights and the speedometer cable:

Next to go back will be the driveshaft and the headers, and then I need to reconnect the exhaust pipes. Stay tuned....
